At the outset, I convey my heartiest congratulations to entire CMA Fraternity for the grand success of the Northern India Regional Student Convention organised by the Northern India Regional Council on the theme of "Role of CMA in Rashtra Nirman" on 23.12.2023 at Scope Complex New Delhi. Shri Om Birla Hon. Speaker of Lok Sabha was the Chief Guest of the Convention, who inaugurated the convention and delivered his message to all the participants during the session. He congratulated the students on successfully becoming the CMA. Shri Om Birla stated that India is progressing rapidly at the global level. There is no sector in which India is not contributing and can be made more competitive at the global level, the chief guest also gave the medals to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position Holder Students in Northern Region.
CMA R.P. Goyal, Director Finance NHPC, CMA Sanjay Jindal, Director Finance, EIL, CMA Baldev Singh Sokhi, Director Finance, NBCC, CMA Anu Kukreja, Director Finance NDMA and CMA Paramand Goyal, ED Finance, IOCL also graced the Inaugural session as our Guest of Honour.
The convention was very much appreciated by all the participants and stake holders.
77th Independence Day
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated on 15.08.2023 all the Regional Council Members and the Central Council Members graced this occasion by their presence at the NIRC Lawn. The National flag was hoisted by the Regional Council with a speech from each one of the Regional Council Member.
Practitioner cum Members
NIRC of ICMAI organised a Practitioner cum Members Meet on 26.08.2023 at CMA Bhawan, Delhi. The Chief Guest was CMA Ashu Mathur, Addl. Chief Advisor Cost, Ministry of Expenditure, (Govt. of India), The Key Note Speaker was CMA Ravi Kumar Sahani and CMA Sankalp Wadhwa, Practising Cost Accountant.
Student Counselling Programme
NIRC of ICMAI conducted the Students Counselling Programme on 17.09.2023 at CMA Bhawan, Delhi. The keynote Speaker were CMA Balwinder Singh Former President of ICMAI and Shri Jyoti Prakash Gadia, Former Government Nominee of ICMAI.
CMA Balwinder Singh, Former President of the Institute guided the students on the "Examination Tips" and Shri Jyoti Prakash Gadia, former Govt. Nominee addressed the students on "Entrepreneurship".
Students Counselling
NIRC of ICMAI organised a student counselling programme for the students to have wonderful insights and various aspects of the benefits of industrial training for the students on 19th October 2023. This counselling seemed to be very informative for participants and it remained interactive.
CMA Rajesh Aggarwal, G.M. Finance, PFC motivated the students by his presence in this event.
Pre Placement Orientation Programme
The "Pre-Placement Orientation Programme (PPOP)" was conducted from 10.10.2023 to 20.10.2023. This programme was conducted for preparing the students for the campus placement. Our Idols were CMA Paramanand Goel, Executive Director Finance, Madam Reva Sethi, E.D. Finance at HUDCO and Vice- President (H.R.) J.K. Laxmi Cement Ltd.
Campus Placement
This campus placement was held between 30.10.2023 to 01.11.2023 at CMA Bhawan, Lodhi Road. It was a huge success as approx. 12 companies participated in this 3 days programme and approx. 60 students got placed in different companies.
Northern India Regional Chapters Meet
In association with Regional Council & Chapter Coordination Committee of the institute and Northern India Regional Council conducted the "Northern India Regional Chapters Meet" at Haridwar on 23.12.2023 in the presence of CMA B.B. Nayak, Vice President, CMA Vinay Ranjan, Chairman R.C.C. Committee, CMA TCA Srinivasa Prasad, C.C.M., CMA M.K. Anand, C.C.M. and CMA R.S. Bhati, C.C.M. NIRC Council were also present.
